Professional Training Workshops
We consider teachers essential “front-line” education professionals. Through their daily interaction with children, they are often the first to identify a speech or language difficulty. They play an essential role in both identification and support for children who struggle with any aspect of communication .
Our professional training workshops provide teachers with theoretical knowledge on speech and language development and on early identification of communication difficulties. The aim of these workshops is to provide practical strategies that will help teachers identify children at risk and address concerns and specific challenges in the classroom. Workshops can be designed in collaboration with the school administration in order to adapt the content and format to the specific needs of the school.
We offer screenings for daycares, preschools, and school settings, to support early identification of communication disorders. Early identification allows schools and parents to identify children potentially at risk for speech and language problems and address them early.
We offer regular free parents’ nights to our clients and the wider community. During these informal and interactive evenings, we address specific topics related to speech and language development, play development, executive functions, and “red flags” for communication disorders. This is a great time to learn more about these topics and to find yourself in the company of other parents who may have similar interests and concerns to yours.
